The Ragon Bioinformatics Working Group

The Ragon Bioinformatics Working Group was envisioned a forum where computationally-inclined Ragonites, colleagues, and guests could discuss new bioinformatics packages and techniques, present new data and analyses, talk about common computing needs, and in particular brainstorm about how to solve analytical or technical problems.

We meet monthly, usually on the last Wednesday of the month at 4 PM. Our format includes two very informal 25 to 30-minute presentations with 10 minutes of discussion each and one 5 minute tip presentation. People may present data, new methods and packages, or do journal clubs. In keeping with our informal, free-wheeling nature, we have a budget for pizza, soda, beer, and cookies.

Inquiries and requests to join our mailing list can be sent to Jonathan Urbach, jurbach@mgh.harvard.edu.
