Reporting an Issue or Concern

At the Ragon, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace that is free of discrimination, bias and harassment and where all individuals feel respected and safe.

Unacceptable workplace behavior can include, but isn’t limited to, the following examples:

  • Harassment, defined as unwelcome, unwanted and/or biased conduct based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, military status, disability or genetic information).
  • Abusive behavior such as bullying, intimidation, yelling, use of hateful, profane or offensive speech, unwanted physical contact, violence, property damage and making threatening gestures.

This conduct is considered unacceptable for employees as well as non-employees including contractors, consultants and vendors.

Human Resources

If you have a concern about your experience in the workplace, you may contact Jennifer Crotty, Director of Human Resources, to discuss resources or to make a report.  In most cases, conversations with HR are confidential, unless:

  1. You choose to make a report, which is a formal request for MGB/MGH/Ragon to investigate a potential issue. In this case, the information you provide will be handled with utmost discretion and sensitivity and will only be disclosed to others as necessary to thoroughly explore and appropriately address your concern
  2. There is risk of imminent harm that requires a duty to act

  • Compliance Helpline: If you have a legal or ethical question or believe that another member of the Mass General Brigham community has violated a legal or ethical responsibility and would like to make a report anonymously, you can contact the Compliance Helpline.

    • Effective Monday, April 1, 2024 the MGH-specific Anonymous Compliance Help Line will be replaced with the Mass General Brigham Compliance HelpLine. All staff have a duty to report inappropriate actions to help maintain a safe environment for all patients, staff and visitors. Confidential and anonymous reporting is available online here or via phone at 1-800-856-1983. Reports can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from any location.

Retaliation

Ragon has a zero-tolerance policy regarding retaliation against any individual who brings forth concerns in good faith, reports a violation of our policies and/or cooperates in a related investigation. Read the policy on non-retaliation here.
