If you wish to see the example mail headers from a test anonymous submission from April – at this time, I, Claire Brewer (Director of IT) was also receiving entries whilst I was checking the form was functioning correctly – to assure yourself of safely being anonymous, you can see an example at the end of this page. I have highlighted the to and from addresses, the Mass General Brigham servers involved in the mail delivery, the subject of the message and the date of the message. The actual text of your submission is the very last paragraph on this page. You will not be able to see any identifying details about who sent the message because they are not stored nor sent in the email that is generated when clicking Submit on the form. Feel free to check for IP addresses (Ragon IP addresses start 172.6 if you want to search for them) of the computer I used or my email address anywhere other than the to or from fields. My RagonConnect username is ceb98, if you want to look for that. It isn’t there, though. Any identifying IP addresses that might link an email back to a sender, will point to the server running RagonConnect, as that is where the email originated, not your computer or device you used to submit the anonymous entry.

Details about senders, recipients, and/or the contents of any submissions are not stored within the software that runs RagonConnect because we are using a free version of the plug-in which does not provide the functionality to store entries. If the paid version of the plug-in were purchased, retrospective submissions are still not available as they were never saved. The only extra data that is stored by the plug-in is the number of times the form was used; at the time of writing, this stands at 176.
