This is recognized as a paid holiday by Mass General Brigham.

Notes:
– Holidays that fall on a Saturday are usually recognized on the previous Friday
– Holidays that fall on a Sunday are usually recognized on the following Monday
– These holidays are deducted in 8-hour increments from an employee’s earned time bank
– If any employee would like to work on an MGB paid holiday and not have these hours deducted from their earned time bank, they may do so with the approval of their manager. This approval should be forwarded to Ragon Timekeeping.
