Macs
To buy any Apple equipment, a proposal is required as a quote. The proposal is obtained through the Apple Purchasing Portal, and this needs to be attached to a purchase requisition in eBuy.

PCs
The MGB preferred supplier is Dell. Standard PCs that have the Partners/MGB build are ordered through the Service Desk and there are a number of specs available in both desktop and laptop format.

Other specialized/non-standard specs can be obtained from alternative suppliers but you will need a quote prior to ordering so that it can be processed through eBuy. Please get in touch so all options can be discussed.

Larger Lab equipment with an IT component
If you are purchasing a piece of Lab equipment through a grant, you will be asked if there is any dependency on IT. There could be a storage requirement, attached computer or network connection that you may not have considered. Your request will be sent from the Grant Admin Team to me for a quick check. I can provide quotes for your proposal to ensure that sufficient budget is available and the purchase can operate properly at the Ragon.
